The moth was dead and my weekend companion saved it for me. One glorious night he had ten different moths drawn by his living room light, and in the season we have crowds of bogong moths scrabbling on the screen door.

I can’t help but wonder at the delicate beauty of the moth. The jellyfish, does it have a sting?

The jellyfish can sting, by some quite unusual process my son just explained to me, but it doesn’t always. His source was a waterways colleague.
