It was the remains of a kangaroo. He was mainly bones, but his foot was intact, with fur. I saw a herd of big fellows crossing the road just along from here when I was internet-connecting one day. Big trucks use the road and they are pretty careless of wildlife.
I was expecting it to be a lot colder here. We’re having a mild spell, but the fire is still going all the time – the soup, you know.
