… this is a sample of what our daughter and her partner were doing in Slovakia and Norway. They also visited friends in Germany and F was an effective wife to her sister in Warsaw, cooking and twin-wrangling. In case it looks too idyllic I need to mention the nightmare trip from Slovakia to Warsaw, 400 kilometres in twelve hours, with twins who have learnt the power of “I want to poo” to release them from the torment of the car.

Are those 2 people sitting with their legs over the side of that sheer drop in the last photo? That looks super scary, I hope it wasn’t your family…

Not my family, but definitely two people. It wouldn’t be me!!!!

Nor me, but Jack would be in his element, he used to be a rigger…

I’m confused π¦ Like Jo, I miss captions and commentary. I can’t tell which photo is of Slovakia and which is Norway, though I assume the cliff is Norway, well it looks like Norway! That camping site looks a wee bit uncomfortable, not the flattest patch of land to pitch a tent! And 12 hours for a 400 km journey sounds like quite a nightmare.

Once I have two complaints, I act! I’ve now captioned. The land was mossy for the camp site. And apologies about commentary: can’t. I wasn’t there, and my daughter has no time for guest blogs!

Thanks Meg! I figured that the lake was Slovakia because the twins are enjoying a dip, but from a landscape point of view it could well have been Norway!

They’re not old enough yet to X-Box a journey away. Maybe that’s a plus?
I miss captions and commentary when you do your gallery style, Meg, but I like the way it looks. Probably means I’m too lazy to use my imagination. π Slovakia did look pretty- even over the border from Poland. π

Caption comment noted, thanks Jo. I was a bit light on information for this one – photos cannibalised from my daughter’s collection. Pity our Polish jaunts are so tied to family, eh? Slovakia does look inviting.

I’ve seen photos of Slovakia before, it looks a wonderful place. The photo with people by the edge of that sheer drop is scary, I couldn’t bear to see people that close! I’d love to see inside that little green cottage π

That sheer drop would give me the screaming jeebies too. The mob stayed in a place in Slovakia that was cheap: in winter you have to ski in to access it. F and G met up with friends in Norway – the twins weren’t anywhere near that drop!!! They love forest – they walked 4 km, which is more than I managed today without wanting a rest.

Smart twins – two brains better than one, eh!
