Cuttagee, I love it! Your silence actually makes it even more beguiling, not that i don’t love your words! I particularly like the last set of photos, fascinating, is that an island in a lake? and the distant rocky bit is a strange shape.
It is an island in a lake: Mogareetha I think. The rocky bit’s the end of the headland. I’m glad I walked back along the road: those photos seem to have given special pleasure.
The shell collages are great. More varied than the ones I tried in Tasmania. And those small mauve flowers, we have them here in Newcastle, behind the beach dunes. You managed to capture the colour better than I could. I always have trouble with mauves in strong light. What brought on the purchase of the TV?
Overdosing on iView which was costing a bomb in cash and self-respect. Once I get it running I’ll be seeking advice about what to watch. Might be interesting to see my photos on it – have you ever tried that?
As for these photos, it was a lucky day. I was surprised that the flowers came out, especially the first one where I thought the camera would focus on the ground.
No I haven’t used my TV in that way, and even tech savvy Evan had trouble transferring my photos from the USB drive to his big TV the last time we tried. So we just made do with the computer. Walked yesterday right to end of the breakwater and back and felt OK but sorry I did not have my camera to capture some charming small pink pea flowers behind Nobbys beach. Seen for the first time. The dune rehabilitation seems to be going well but there is still a lot of the invasive bitou bush. At least it provides good cover for small birds, which I can hear but not see.
You have never had a TV? I didn’t notice that when I stayed with you. We need a new one (bigger than the 20″) but there is so much choice and we only need a basic model so finding it difficult to decide on one.

The one looking through bushes to the headland? It was a lovely walk, but I left the beach for the road because the sand was too soft.

Yes, that’s the one. As for walking in sand, I no longer have the leg strength to do it, found that out in Lanzarote a couple of years ago.

It was respite after the trauma of purchasing a TV – first one I’ve ever owned – which is still in its box. En route to the Archibald.

This one fell into my lap – someone wanting to sell when I was playing with the idea of buying – or I’d have probably decided not.
