Oh dear everyone thinks they have a dull life, there’s some drama queenery going on here!
Love the galleries Meg, the purple berries may be pretty but I bet they’re poison. Please stay prolific x:-)x
I never use my iPad, and rarely my iPhone. These are from my precious camera. Jemisons is the headland to the south of my place. Have we walked there? I had a fixation on grass that day – fixations give you a different take on very familiar places!
I got so caught up in the conversation that I completely forgot what I was going to say! Love the geese tracks – they look like geese – and the Banksia. And the grasses collage. The purple berries are so lovely too, if only I could remember their name, but I do know I have a photo of the plant from my Manly walk. Now that I am feeling better I shall definitely have to go exploring my coast before the summer hoards arrive at the end of July, and write all those posts that are still in my head!! Still got to finish the garden redesign that I started a month ago though… I definitely need a man that can 😀
Black swans. When they saw me they took off towards the sea. Banksias are photographically good in so many phases. Boobialla for the berries. I’m looking forward to your explorations.
Doubt I’ll find a black swan here (though there are some in the south-east), but I might find a Banksia 😀 Not this week though – rained in again. It’s not that I object to going out in the rain, but it’s not good for the camera.
I always see something when I don’t carry a camera and then I get annoyed, but I really do need to get into the habit of a daily walk with or without a camera.
Beautiful, Meg. I love the variety of textures in these photographs – the details are so clear I almost feel that I could reach out and touch them. Those webbed footprints in the sand have to be my favorite!
I was wondering why I wasn’t getting your posts in my reader, but I suddenly realized that I didn’t have the correct blog address saved in my “favorite bloggers” category. I’ve fixed the problem now, so I will be able to keep up better in the future!
Guess who is giving a talk “On Looking” in this summer in NYC? Alexandra Horowitz! You introduced me to her book many months ago, and I really enjoyed it. I’m hoping to get to hear her speak about it.
I was delighted with the webprints too – I hoped to find the ones at the point of take off, but I couldn’t be sure. NYC offers gifts that Potato Point doesn’t. Horowitz eh? I’m hoping to hear an account of your encounter.
Thanks for tracking me down. I do bop about a bit with blog addresses – a new one every time I go to Warsaw, and then a return to the home one.
Easy to be prolific when I’m wordless! I need to figure out a way to only post three times a week. Hope the weather is kind to you, now I’ve taken your rain: drove home in it last night after my own mini film festival: “Denial” and “Don’t tell”, with a stint in the coffee shop and library in between. Another post????? I seem to be believing the unblogged life is not a life at all. Hugs to you as I sit rugged up in bed.
But you lead such an interesting life. Mine is in decline 😦 It hasn’t stopped pouring all day and even the tennis in Paris was rained off. I’ve been playing with photos and catching up with the blogs in between tedious domesticity. Heck, I’m sounding like Jude. Give me a shake! 🙂 🙂
What’s domesticity????? I just wait, and H mows lawn, vacuums, prunes, washes up, cooks. (I do occasionally bake a quiche, or a batch of muffins.) my part of the house is chaos – still – from Warsaw, and now a Melbourne layer.
Thank you, Jo….but I’m feeling just a teensy bit disappointed because I didn’t go up to my photo club yesterday because of the hideous weather and disrupted trains….not something I was prepared to risk
I wish I had a photo club in my week. Not that I’d be any use to them. You do remarkably well and it was a hideous day. Would you believe I’m sitting here dithering over whether to go to t’ai chi this morning because Rafa will be playing around 10? Such silly inconsequences is my life made up of. 😦 😦
Two passions in conflict? Inconsequential? Mine today involved a rescue mention when J left the ute lights on when he went to the doctor – 50+ round trip. But what gratitude. And he doesn’t need a knee or hip replacement. He hasn’t got cancer. Just strained adductor muscle which old men are prone to and which will heal slowly IF HE’S SENSIBLE.
PS Is it foul weather that’s making everyone angst over their lives? May the sun soon shine!
Is it grim there too? So happy for good news for J. I don’t know why but I have a soft spot for him. Silly when we’ve never met. but he’s lucky enough to share a life with you. 🙂 🙂
And I with him! Mostly!!!! Your soft spot may be because I give him good press. Mostly!!! And the twins love him. It’s rainy here, but it’s winter. Therefore no expectations of sun and warmth.
My, you do have a thing for Rafa! Blow t’ai chi, it’ll be there for next week!!
As for my photo club, it’s only twice per month, and this year I’ve missed most of them because of train problems….I need to find one locally
I try not to, Meg…but I was fabulously lucky on that trip. There are plenty of times when I am curtailed, and have to stay within my 4 walls…yesterday was one such – had to miss competition evening at the photo club because of the weather which had caused some disruption to transport. When I was younger and fitter, it wouldn’t have stopped me.

Wow Ms. Meg, what a sumptuous collection of photos. Were you using your iPad or your other camera? Where is Jemison’s headland?
