We were just getting back into the Sunday beach habit when I began gallivanting again. Gold Coast beaches aren’t half as interesting. High rise v cliffs? No competition!
Oh those rosy hued rocks and darling quirky little shells and the peacefulness! Gorgeous Meg. Hope you’re enjoying your break, although life is a continuous break isn’t it? 🙂
There appear to be many Shelly beaches in Australia. The one I know and love is in Manly and this is definitely not that! Lovely seep of a beach and what I love about it is that there is not a soul to be seen. (other than the solitary paddle-boarder). Typical Meg beachiness – textures, patterns and even shells on Shelly beach. Now who would have thought that?
As for Jo’s remark I am still traumatised by imagining her as a mermaid… fishy hugs indeed. Better than fishy breath I guess…
xx
You’re not supposed to be able to find time to post as you gad about Australia! 🙂 🙂 Or were you fearfully organised with your scheduling? I’m going to sink gracelessly beneath the waves and simply bob up to spy on people for the next week or so. Jo Mermaid in my next reincarnation. Take some fishy hugs and a big splat with my tail!
I scheduled somehow – and forgot. I was a bit impressed too. Very little time to pause so far, but I’m settled for ten days now. The fishy hugs were fine: the tail splat was a bit rough! Jo Mermaid? A lovely thought.

You’ve made me long for the sea, and sea-salty sand under my feet.

No. The beach opposite Moruya airport, at the mouth of the river. No time to post current trip yet, my dear. I’m at my son’s, settledish for a week.

For me it is! Although I’ve been on the road for a week, and I’m ready to park the car for the next week. I’m glad you liked the peacefulness.
