Wow, what a beautiful walk, Meg. I don’t think I’d like the sandy patches either, but I would certainly enjoy the dreamy views. I love the trees and the flora and the sea views, and the beautiful birdsong as well. Thanks for taking us along on your Polish daughter’s birthday walk. 🙂
I imagined myself on the path, the soft shuffle of sand beneath my feet. In fact I was today on gravelly paths, so I had crunch beneath my feet… Aren’t we lucky, to have such paths before us.
The sandy path was NOT to my liking – deep and requiring slogging. But the place was beautiful, and I ended up sprawled on a sandhill feeling chill from the sand and warm from the sun and ruffling from the breeze. I even heard a change in the sound of the sea when the wind direction changed. However J, far ahead, became paranoid about my well-being and cut short his ramble. We both take phones in future. The second walk was far more to my taste, but I wouldn’t have missed the landscape of the first, which was just over the dunes.
How tranquil. I love the miscellany of weird and wonderful winter flora. I would be very happy to walk the Dreaming Track with you.

yes, sand is very slog-making – and pebbles can be very ankle-turning, so there you go! choose your preferred catastrophe, and carry on…
