We have poinsettias exactly like that year round in the Algarve. 🙂 🙂 And the sea waifs are very appealing. Our walk this morning was very gentle- a country park with proud mam and dad and eight cygnets. 🙂 Back to Leeds tomorrow for one last clean and sort. We’ll be ready to loll about in the Algarve at this rate. Sleepy hugs!

I’m sure it’s obvious, apart from the spotted gums, my favourites are the sea country spirits! A lovely hotchpotch.

I suspect I could’ve guessed! I wish I’d had longer to look at them.

These are fascinating. I particularly like the shots of the multi media art. It is inspiring stuff.

So hard to seperate from their lighting! (That’s if you mean the crocheted -looking ones.)

Yes, it can be hard to photograph art.

Sculpture too. There’s always something behind it. The only spacious sculpture exhibition I’ve seen didn’t allow photography!

I love your Hotchpotches, Meg! So much variety. Here, the Sea Country Spirits had me intrigued and I followed the link. I agree with Jo about the Ponsettia!

I’m glad the link worked: wasn’t sure about a link in a caption, and I was away when this went live. I was very glad to find the video because photographing them was very difficult. And I’m also glad you like hotchpotches. This one was a while in the making, hence the variety.

Already posted? I’ve skimmed them, but weekends I now spend at J’s with good company and bad internet connection, so I’m just catching up now.

Now that’s what a Poinsettia should look like, not the weedy Christmas houseplants that we get here. And the shells – are they limpets? Unusual colouring – like tortoiseshell. Another lovely hotchpotch 🙂

Colouring could well be photographic failure!! I was using my dreaded (and drafted) iPhone. One day I will master it!!!

I think the photos are absolutely fine. No the shells have a defined tortoiseshell pattern on them, but I am hopeless at identifying seashells. Clams, limpets…
